[Episode 017] Why being vulnerable will set you free

“Vulnerability is terrifying.  The courage it takes to reveal your heart is one of the most daunting…and yet rewarding experiences in life. It will set you FREE.”

Check out my FREE challenge here to begin working on vulnerability.

I’ve felt that freedom (from being vulnerable) first hand recently.  It was an area of my life I was resistant to for a long time.  When I began to embrace it, I saw things in my own life begin to change.

I experienced a deeper connection to my body, to my husband, to my children, to my family, and to my friendships.

When we experience emotional discomfort and connections in any walk of life including food, our bodies, and relationships, it physically and emotionally weighs us down.  It festers and builds until it takes us over.

When we give words to something though…it loses its power over us and we can feel free.

Food is no different.

The moment I provide a space for a client to share their food struggles they become aware.  They become aware of their actions, they become more intentional and they can physically feel a weight lifted.

My advice: create that space with someone.  It could be a friend, a journal or it could be a coach.

In this episode I dive into:

-Why being vulnerable is HARD

-If you hold on to your “crap” it will physically take you over

-We can’t expect vulnerability if we don’t give it

-When we speak with our truth we become a more authentic version of ourselves.

Books I mention:
